Call your shorts Ace and they’d better live up to the name – but luckily these are great! We’ve come to associate Troy Lee gear with indestructible quality but these are very supple and easy to wear, despite being made from heavy fabric.
Long leg vents, inner thigh ports and mesh-lined pockets all do a good job of creating cooling airflow too.
We like the fit around the hips and waist a lot – it’s neat and you can cinch in using rubberised tab adjusters that stay in place well. So much so, in fact, that they do catch easily on anything, so do them up when putting them in the wash with your best jerseys.
That minor niggle aside, the Ace is an uncomplicated design that works well for more rugged riding and will, we reckon, last you a good many seasons.
