The range by fashion company Cyclodelic aims to add a bit of style to cycle clothing for girls. It is only on sale at the firm's Oxford Street Branch.
The kit includes a £105 pannier bag which doubles as a handbag with hidden Klik Fix mechanism and internal pockets for A4 documents, valuables and tools.
The £55 saddle bag is designed to hold cycling essentials like tools plus can be detached easily for nights out.
The £85 'Bra bag' has an 'anti swing' shape to prevent movement while riding and apparently you can fits a pair of heels in it. Other items in the range include a scarf, cycling hat, visors and belt with integrated mini D-lock holder.
Amy Fleuriot, of Cyclodelic, told BikeRadar: “We don't believe you have to sacrifice style to get in the saddle. Whether it be a short commute or tour across foreign lands we fuse fashion and function with thousands of miles of pedalling experience to create our fun, adaptable products to brighten your journey.”
Cyclodelic worked with teenagers on Sustrans’ Fashion2Ride Project for two years and found that teenage girls were put off by the image of cycling.
Jewel-encrusted 'ankle cuffs' (trouser clips) can be worn on the wrist as a fashion accessory
“Hopefully Cyclodelic's cycling accessories range in Topshop will help dispel some of the notions that cycling always has to involve body-hugging Lycra or high-visibility builders' vests,” Fleuriot added. The company are due to launch a clothing range at the end of the summer.
We’re going to get some samples of the new accessories in as soon as possible, but in the meantime we’d love to hear your thoughts on the range, and whether you think this will encourage more women to get on their bikes. Will you be buying any of it?
