Chris Smith gets blogging...

Local Freeride star Chris Smith is always up to something, and he'll be letting y'all know exactly what right here on a regular basis...

Hi everyone,

Here's my first entry for my blog on BikeRadar. I'm going to be updating it regularly with pictures, videos and a few words with what's been going on.

Bearing in mind it's the off season at the moment, news is kind of low on the ground. The amount of rain we've had down in the South West has been mad- everywhere is so wet right now it hasn't given me much choice except to take my riding indoors.

Me and Garry Penman hit up Corby skatepark the other day for a Halo photoshoot, loads of people turned up too and was a good session with Chopper, Lance McD, Chris Mahoney, Sam Pilgrim, Ricky Crompton and loads of other guys.

Every trick imaginable was ticked of the list- check out some of the pics from Corby, taken by Chris Smith.

No not me- another Chris Smith. Freaky huh!!

Next event for me is the start of next month in Austria, it's the Nissan White Style which was a cool event, literally. Last year saw me in third so I hope to better that this time round. The sun was shining today so actually managed to ride some street with Jack from the Mondraker UK Huck Squad. I barspun this sketchy gap with a crap roll in- we'll get a video on the site soon.

Another bit of news- BIG D Aka Jim Davage and Kelly WIlliams have just had a baby daughter named Ezra Louise Davage, so a huge congrats to him and Kel- it must be a mint time for them right now! She was born Saturday 19th January at 3.07pm, weighing in at 7Ib 11 1/2 Oz. Could she be the first female freerider from the UK?

Had a couple of deliveries recently and here's my pick of the bunch- Deity Vendetta cranks (stronger and lighter than last year), Deity Bat graphic saddle (super strong, cool graphics); Deity bar ends and seat clamp and a Deity 25t chainring- Sweet!

Also in white are my new 661 Filter spd shoes and Raji 08 Gloves.

Oh yeah I'm just in the process of booking a trip to Utah for spring- should be a good one!
