MBUK staff have surrendered control of the magazine to Danny MacAskill for the latest edition, which is out now!
Danny's expertise graces the pages of this issue and you can find out all about his rise to success and how to ride like a trials master. Not only that, to commemorate Danny's nationality, this issue is also a Scotland special!
Danny is the first to comment on how crucial MBUK has been throughout his riding career: "I used to wait for my subscription to fall through the letterbox and when I got my hands on the mag I'd flick through the pages to see what my heroes were doing that month.
"Growing up on the Isle of Skye, MBUK was my only access to the biking world. MBUK was a huge part of my world growing up, and the magazine and all the riders in it are what inspired me to get into trials all those years ago."
MBUK's features editor, Alex, made the long trip from Bristol up to Scotland to spend some time with Danny out on his bike. Alex came back bowled over by Danny's openness to chat to anyone and everyone, totally in awe of his raw skill and talent, and hugely impressed by Danny's approach to life.
To read more about Danny, grab a copy of the mag and check out our headlining feature.
MBUK has also ridden every bridleway and path across the breadth and width of Scotland to find the best wild and rugged rides on offer. So, if you're looking to go on a Scottish roadtrip this summer, you'll need to know where our top 10 places are to ride.
And if riding off into the wilderness isn't your thing, we've also tested six e-bikes to find out which one you should be spending your hard-earned cash on. After all, not all of us have enough time (or fitness) to go on multi-day epics! With models from Cube, Scott, KTM, Haibike, Focus and Specialized, we've ridden and tested them to within an inch of destruction to bring you honest and reliable opinions about each bike.
Not only that, MBUK is back on the UK downhill race scene after a 10 year hiatus with our man, Alex Bond. Catch up with Alex in the mag to find out about what he's up to this year and why he's the right man for the job, hopefully taking MBUK back to the top step of the podium.
Heading back to Scotland, we managed to catch up with the illusive, quirky and extremely talented Dudes of Hazzard in their local town of Fort William. We got right down to business asking them about their preferred modes of vehicular transport, favourite snacks and worst race run experiences. Oh, and we did some riding, too!
We've also been extremely lucky to travel down to Devon to ride the trails at Gawton Gravity Hub in this month's Wrecking Crew. Could our Ed keep up with local sender Jasper Flashman? Grab a copy to find out how he fared!
