... this was a common sight, maybe the streets of London would be safer for cyclists. Here a member of the MET's commercial vehicle unit holds a passer by's Brompton, while the owner sits in the cab and is shown how invisible he and his little bike are to HGV drivers.

This was part of a worthy but flawed cyclist awareness campaign the MET were operating for a week in late November on Horse Guards Parade. Three lorries, one week, about ten policemen... and not much over 60 cyclists got educated on how vulnerable they are in London traffic.

Now, if they had been stopping lorry drivers and making them ride Bromptons round Hyde Park Corner, just think how good that would be...
