If you've ever been lucky enough to get up to Fort William for the World Cup you'll no doubt have been blown away by the speeds and skills the pros demonstrate as they blast down that toughest of courses. You may have found yourself looking at the track and thinking how full-on and gnarly it looks and whether you'd survive a run on it. But it's unlikely you've ever thought, 'Hmm... wonder how many times I could chuck myself down it in six hours?"

Well, this is what faced our tech editor Ian Collins when we 'agreed' that he'd be entering this year's No Fuss Hope Fort William Downhill Endurance. Obviously, upon hearing the news he immediately set about following a rigorous training regime and a series of simulated terrain challenges. Oh… hang on… yep, seems he forgot to do that.
