TF Tuned Shox celebrate 5 great years
Saturday, December 2, 2006 12.00am
Normally, moving a business whilst still trading is a nightmare- but Tim Flooks and his team got the move done in three days, with work in progress the whole time. The new unit is in Westbury, and although not as charming as the old farm building in which TF tuned started, it's far bigger, better equipped and has a floor clean enough to eat your dinner off. Oh, and there's a 'spare' unit next door in which the crew drift their RC cars around, and build the odd ramp- there's even talk of a small skatepark 'happening'... Celebrating 5 years of tuning peoples forks and shocks, TF invited a few friends round, including Steve Peat, The Athertons, Chris Smith, Steve Geall, Helen Gaskell, Danny Hart, Grant Fielder and our goodselves, for a bite to eat, some dossing around and for some fine Butcombe bitter... Robin Kitchin was in the house taking some pics for Hype for us- so expect some cool goings on there- funnily enough, he's the guy with the camera at the back... Tim was the official mechanic for the GB Mountain Biking team at the Olympics: But we all know who the real Timmy is... In case you don't realise how far suspension has come in mountain biking, check out the first Rock Shox forks- the RS1. Wimpy or what!! Even the stickers in this place are cool- check out the vintage 'Judy' stickers... And here's Skins, with some springs...
