Fort William Day Two

Even with the mighty Avon Skin So Soft, the midges are showering down on us - and they're worse than ever.

Taking a walk down the downhill track earlier revealed just how blown out the track is - there are braking bumps galore, and all the best lines have wheel swallowing holes. You know it's bad when the top riders are shaking their hands out when they get to the bottom of the track...

Rachel Atherton is showing good form - doing runs with Dan at his pace - and the Iron Horse duo of Hill and Fairclough seem to be having a laugh cat 'n' mousing it down the gnarly track. With the track being as dry as it is, the turns looks super slidey and hard to stay on - a much needed dose of rain is due for Sunday - which may well affect how things play.
