New issue of Mountain Biking UK out NOW!!!

Danny Walter Thursday, Sep 24, 2009 3.00pm

If you've ever been lucky enough to get up to Fort William for the World Cup you'll no doubt have been blown away by the speeds and skills the pros demonstrate as they blast down that toughest of courses. You may have found yourself looking at the track and thinking how full-on and gnarly it looks and whether you'd survive a run on it. But it's unlikely you've ever thought, 'Hmm... wonder how many times I could chuck myself down it in six hours?"

Well, this is what faced our tech editor Ian Collins when we 'agreed' that he'd be entering this year's No Fuss Hope Fort William Downhill Endurance. Obviously, upon hearing the news he immediately set about following a rigorous training regime and a series of simulated terrain challenges. Oh… hang on… yep, seems he forgot to do that.

Here's a video diary that Ian took at the event:

For the full feature check out this month's issue!

We've also got all the action, wild parties and gossip from this year's Crankworx festival, some stunning photography and trail riding from the Rhone Valley, Trailmaster heads to The Borders and takes on the Newcastleton Red Route plus we set a new record in number of tricks pulled in any one session as the old skool dirt jump guys try and out-do the new wave of tricksters - look out for Danny Pace pulling the World's First ever Superman tailwhip flip!

And as we went to press there was some small story breaking about an ex-plumber from Sheffield winning the World Championships in Canberra…

So, there you have it – over 200 pages rammed with the most exciting features, most comprehensive bike and kit reviews and best riding tips you can lay your hands on, plus a load of free cool stickers to customize your clobber - what more encouragement do you need? It's in the shops now or go to www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk to subscribe and get it delivered to your door at a super discounted rate. Winner!
