Team BikeRadar's post-Crankworx report
Neil Donoghue Thursday, Aug 21, 2008 2.52pm
The final few days here have been really good fun, no racing to worry about, just riding.
I have done more runs in two weeks than I have probably done all year at home. The weather has been mega hot and the trails are dusty.
A group of us got together and rode a secret trail called ‘Ride Don’t Slide’ which starts right from the top of the peak, the highest point on Whistler mountain. It was epic, like a 20 minute, long, steep, rooty, gnarly British track. It was so much fun, the crew involved Matti Lehikoinen, Andrew Neethling, Thomas Vanderham, Sam Dale and Rachel Atherton.
I have been riding a lot with mates that have come from home for Crankworx. Unfortunately they have been dropping like flies. Two out with broken bones on their first day of riding! You see so many people getting carted off the hill.

I saw a few more “celebrities” out riding today, freestyle MX rider Carey Hart (first ever MX rider to land a back flip) was out busting runs all day, along with BMX rider Taj Mihelich. Pretty cool seeing them on downhill bikes and hanging out in the bars at night.
We are packing up now and getting ready to fly to
