Knog's cartoonish, oversized, silicone-encased cycle computers might not be everyone’s cup of tea – being at odds with the trend for smaller, slicker designs – but don’t let their looks deter you. They are very usable devices.
You toggle through the NERD’s 12 functions by pushing the screen, which is fiendishly easy even with thick gloves. Your current speed remains on the screen while you scan through the other modes and being displayed in 18mm-tall digits, it remains clear.
Weatherproofing is good, but the unit isn’t totally waterproof. Setup is easy and quick but the device prefers bar mounting to stem mounting for optimal information transfer.
