Pacific Bikes Super Rear Fender Panniers (Pair) (10) | $230
BikeRadar verdict
"Lightweight and waterproof; pricey but nicely featured"
With a 33 litre volume, and weighing in at only 1,230g, the Super Rear Fender is one to consider for that long-planned tour or even the daily commute.
As a fully waterproof pannier, this is competing with some well established products and pricewise it initially doesn’t compare too favourably (Ortlieb’s Back Roller Classics are £103 a pair).
They do have some neat features though, including a floating lid that crowns a simple standard roll-top and can be removed for easy transport of valuables at rest stops. There’s also a handy fold-out mesh bag for drying wet kit on the fly.
The tough PVC-free rip-stop outer houses a zipped front pocket with water resistant zip, reflective patches and a roomy rear pocket, along with a ‘slot’ for clipping a light.
Inside the main body there’s a side pouch and a compression strap to secure bulky clothing or a sleeping bag. Klikfix mountings mean it’s easy to fit and secure in use.

User review of Pacific Bikes Super Rear Fender Panniers (Pair) (10)
You have got to be kidding, £199 for panniers that I have never heard of, why would I buy these rather than Ortliebs? Which are an awful lot cheaper, and we all know are tried and tested and the dogs testes.
