North Rounder? It's a portmanteau description containing ‘north road’ and ‘all-rounder’, either of which is what this back-swept bar is more commonly called.

The 25.4mm central bulge will fit modern stems, while the 22.2mm straight section is compatible with today’s flat bar brake and gear levers. The handlebar is 610mm wide and, being aluminium alloy, weighs a reasonable 318g.

It gives you a more upright and elegant riding position on your town bike or trekking hybrid at a stroke, though you might also want a more upright stem and a fatter, sprung saddle. For short trips where you’re not rushing, it’s great.
