The hugely popular Vulpine Harrington rain jacket for urban cyclists just received a major update, and we think you'll want to take a look. It's got a tartan lining, it's made from washable waxed cotton, and details include two-way gun metal zips, updated collars, and new colours. In short, it looks great.
For the first item in its new Made in Britain range, Vulpine has updated its biggest seller. It’s now made in Blackburn, Lancashire from a lightweight, windproof British Millerain cloth, compared to the Epic Cotton previously used. We’re interested to see how that affects its water resistance.

As a result, the new Harrington rain jacket will be lighter weight, designed for warm to mild conditions, and comes in three colours: black, khaki green and stone. It’ll cost you £295 (international pricing TBC), which is around £45 more than the existing Harrington.
Don’t worry, though, Epic Cotton fans, there’s plenty more in the company’s new autumn/winter line. It has been working hard with a high-tech mill in Italy to create its own secret Epic Cotton, which promises increased durability, reduced cotton colour fade and added stretch for on-bike fit.
Vulpine's Indian Summer range
For this first release of products in what it is calling its ‘Indian Summer’ release – designed for cold starts and changeable conditions – there are Urban Cycling Jeans in men’s and women’s cuts, long-sleeve merino Alpine jerseys, and some nice new socks. The new slim-cut jeans have natural indigo dyeing for a darker, classier look, a little bit of added stretch for on-bike manoeuvres, and come with a diamond gusset, so you don’t have to sit on seams. Sounds good. They’ll cost £120 (again, no international pricing as yet).
