Hi folks,
Has anyone tried the Red Spec kevlar pads from Superstar Components?
I'm in dire need of new pads and finances are a bit thin this month.
I swore I'd never use Superstar pads again after I got stung for two new brake discs when the friction material seperated from the backing plate, but I've been reassured by friends, and by Superstar themeselves, that this is now a thing of the past.

Not tried the Red Spec but I bought new disc pads from them and not had a problem with the backing getting separated. I think there was a bad batch and its all sorted now.

I put in a pair on the back on my Juicy 3s just before doing the Mega in July - just replacing them now though there's still a little bit of wear left in them.

It's the longevity issue that concerns me. I don't want to be changing pads once a month, but July to November sounds pretty good to me.

I'm getting a set of kevlars to try them out, I've heard mixed reviews about their lifespan, so I think it depends on the conditions you ride in. I get the impression wet, gritty stuff will grind them down pretty quickly.
