Shame it's not carbon then it would be really interesting....but as it stands, I'm happy with the one I've got! Especially since Halfords kindly swapped mine out for one of this years builds with all 2010 components on it!
Wonder how long it will be before they release a carbon framed MTB though?!

It's actually what they should have done to the range this year and actually called it the '2010 range', instead of making no changes at all and keeping it as 2009. Would make them seem better value to potential new buyers.

and why green? I suspect it's the colour sram kit that nobody else is buying...
It would look far better on a Sterling Moss.

That said, there may be the one time on a wet day commuting in London when the difference between disc and v-brakes is the difference between stopping in time and hitting the car that's just done an emergency stop in front of you. It hasn't happened to me yet but 'll take the disc brakes just in case, thanks
Also less need to replace rims, not a disadvantage.... |
I would prefer the bb7s though with extra spent on something else. That goes throughout the hybrid range.
But i do agree on the wet and sliminess

But heavier, more to go wrong etc etc. and how often do you have to replace rims because the brakes have worn them out ... in the real world there is very little difference between decent rim brakes and discs on the road... A decent set of cantilevers is perfectly fine!
