Ok, so i know this type of thread has been done to death, but i can't find another thread about exactly what i'm after. Which is...
*An aggressive all mountain full susser, leaning more toward DH/FR than XC.
*Must be able to handle reasonally sized drops, say 5ft-ish
*Be good on decents, i'm not bothered about getting to the top of the hill in record breaking time, just getting to the top sooner or later will do.
*Good for a bit of FR. I'm often to be found in the Glentress FR Park, and although i can do everything there, i want a bike that'll allow me to get more air, without being afraid that i'm going to snap my xc frame. (I'm not looking for a freeride-specific bike tho)
*I would also like something that could handle the occasional trip to Fort Bill or Inners as i don't think i want to ride my rockhopper down them again. Tho i am impressed by the amount of punishment the rockhopper took!
So far i've been looking at the Orange Five S, La Pierre Zesty, Spesh Pitch.
Budgetwise i'm talking around £1500-£2000. But if the bike was £2000 i would have to really like it, as this bike is gonna become part of my student debt.
Thanks in advance for any comments

Yep, you'd have to take a chance it was right for you and get it delivered.

I've just been looking at the Felt Redemption 3. Can anyone shed any light on that ride?

I use my Pitch for exactly the kind of use you are talking about, it's ace.

I have a mate who uses a Giant Reign for what you are talking about - he goes to Les Gets, Morzine and Cwmcarn on it. But also lives in Suffolk! (FLAT)
So if your'e looking for a bike that can handle hits and still climb well, the Reign is a good'n.
Also, Chris Smith used to use his for Freeride before he switched to Corsair!

The Reign X2 looks good there?
