Does this look too go to be true?
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=44903
I'm new to this bike buying mullarky and don't as yet know a good deal if I see one, but I see it has the Ultegra Groupset and Eason EA70 Wheels.
Am I missing somehing here? Is it the frame that has been comprised? Can't find much out about them on the net!
Cheers

It's not a brand I'm familiar (although I've got a feeling I saw a review somewhere recently?) with but aluminium frame / carbon fork with that sort of level of kit isn't unheard of in that price range. Chain Reaction have a good reputation so doubt they'll sell anything poor quality.
If you go for it though you have a 4 month wait until it arrives!
EDIT You can get a Trek 2.5 with Ultegra for less than that. OK this has a better wheelset but shows that it isn't an unusually generous offer.

Ghost are a German brand IIRC. I saw a lot of them when I was out there working and most notably in a LBS alongside some De Rosa and Cube bikes. They had a 2008 GSR on sale for about 1000 Euro, which was equipped with Ultegra and Ksyrium Equipe wheels. I was sorely tempted as that would have been about £900 but couldn't find out enough about them and the frame was a few cm too big. It looked great though and I can only see them being of the same vein as Cube/Focus i.e. top bikes at very low prices
There are a lot of bikes from Germany that aren't particularly well known here. Corratec seem to make decent bikes too but have only just started to be distributed by Raleigh.

it doesn't look like a "too good to be true" offer to me - an unheard of brand - an alloy frame with (granted) ultegra and half-decent wheels - if it was £900 it would be worth a look - but there is a lot of choice at that price point.
Aside of the usual £1000 models (planetX, focus cayo, boardman carbon) there is the entry level Madone which, ok is a compromise on groupset (to 105) but a tour winning frame. You are also at the start of the specialized roubaix / tarmac entry level models. - or if you fancy italian there is the Willier Mortirolo range or good offerings from Bianchi at that level too
Personally I wouldn't give this a second glance as there is simply so much choice at that price point to go with an unknown frame.

It looks similar to the Lidl £749 Ultegra bike. Could even be the same (both German companies).

@ gkerr4
You make a good point as there is a lot out there and priced very competitively too.
However, Focus were an unknown brand until Wiggle started to stock them. To be honest I haven't a clue how good they are (they may well be completely rubbish) but if Cube/Corratec/Focus are anything to go by then Ghost might be half decent.

There is a full page advert for Ghost bikes in the new Cycling Plus. I noticed it as I'd never heard of them before, I think the advert pointed you to a .de website.

Now that looks like a real bargain! If I needed a new winter bike I'd by that and switch the Ultegra kit with the Tiagra on my new best bike
