Just think...there must be something in it.
Lots of people try it more than once. Indeed my father is on his third attempt. To think we're supposed to learn from our parents.
Must be overdue a change

Don't understand why anyone gets married these days. Most people can live together easier and without the pressure of an institution such as marriage. I am not a fan of marriage, and was with my last girlfriend over 18 years which is longer than some (or most come to that) marriages.
Waste of time and money imo.

I got married back home in NZ in March. It was a fantastic day. Weather was perfect, everything went to plan and we have some fantastic memories of the day and the honeymoon afterwards (India and the Maldives).
Enjoy the day, and take it all in. People say try not to get too drunk but given everyone wants to talk to you, you'll be putting your drink down and talking so much you won't be able to!
That being said, I did manage to, but that's because I'd saved a bottle port I was given by the NZ Army 15 years ago and decided that my wedding day was the perfect day to drink it. What my family didn't drink, I did! I wasn't letting it going to waste! It all went downhill after that ... whoops!
Seriously, don't panic, you're doing it for a reason and remember EVERYONE there is on your side so there's no need to worry or be nervous etc.
Good luck, don't stand on her dress during the dance!

It will be the best day of your life. What is there to panic about? Even if things don't go 100% to plan, you'll still be married to the woman you love by the end of the day (except if they go really wrong).
Like Mothyman says, make sure you take it in as it's over in a flash.[/i]

Right, here's some earnest advice from one who's been there some time:
Sh@g like bunnies for a year or so
then buy one or more books by Allan and Barbara Pease (they save marriages from disaster with simple truths delivered humorously).
For example:
Why Men Want Sex and Women Need Love: Unravelling the Simple Truth: Understanding What He Wants and What She Wants from a Relationship.
More of the same at:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_0_11?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=allan+pease+and+barbara+pease&sprefix=Allan+Pease
Oh yes, and don't worry about breaking all the wedding presents; they are just things.

Best thing I ever did. Been married to the same woman since 1967 and it's done nothing but enhance my life.
She's tolerated my hobbies and passengered in trials sidecar outfits as well as racing dinghies. She's a great map reader and a keener cyclist than I am.
I hope you'll be very happy. You'll enjoy the tandem too - we do.

Good luck for Saturday. You'll be wound tighter than a clockspring until after the ceremony, then it's time to relax & enjoy the day. Feel a div for the first dance tho....it's the law!

+1 for not getting too pissed. Doesn't go down well with your brand new bride when you fail to recognise or introduce your work colleagues when they arrive at the reception, then trample on her satin-clad feet repeatedly during the dancing.
22 years and she's only just stopped reminding me about it.
Have a nice day!

We got married at Mudbrick Vineyard on a dull overcast day in February 07. It ended up lovely and we had a stunning sunset over Auckland. I dream of the day we go back and Im so utterly pissed off I dont live there....
