Ive got a pair of berghaus aquafoils and normally wear a pair of endura padded boxers or a thin pair of padded shorts in warmer months, in the winter a pair of 3/4 length thermo bib tights!! My mates wear tracky bottoms and a pair of padded pants, its all personal choice to be honest!!

I wear padded shorts and lycra leggings under mine, the feeling of the waterproofs against the skin is minging particularly once they're wet on the outside, lycra also helps them move smoothly as you pedal.

Juay another quick question... How do the endura's size up? Are they baggy enough for good movement and a pair of trackies? Looking at the sizes I'd need a large waist wise, but I've got huge calves and thighs!

I usually have problems with my "rugby" thighs, and end up having to buy 36" waist trousers, or I look like I'm wearing emo jeans.
But a Large in the Endura gridlock was fine, but I did buy one size bigger, so that I could have the potential of wearing armour underneath - I really wihs I'd had decent waterproofs in the Alps!

The only T-shirts I have at the moment are "weird fish" ones, because everybody else seems to have decided it was a great idea to put tiny pipe-cleaner arms in their T-shirt designs. Bloody stupid.
I got my gridlocks from the local bike shop by the way, so I had a chance to try them on first. The large was fine, as I said, but I opted for the X-large for armour space.
The shins are close fitting, but not tight in any way - just close enough to stop them flapping around and getting caught in the chain.

the waist is big yeah, but I wanted the legs to be baggy enough to fit armour underneath. The belt solves the waist issue, and it's elasticated anyway, so they're not like clown pants.
Like I said, I was lucky enough to be able to try them on in the local bike shop first.
Large fitted just fine, and even medium was ok, but the thighs/crotch were a bit tight on medium. I just wanted the armour space.

I just wear these at the moment, not sure how they will stand up to a down pore, but they are okay with padded shorts, just the job for a 30 miler.

i just wear my cycling polaris boxer shorts under mine, otherwise whatever else i have on will end up drenched in sweat. i tend to only wear the waterproofs if its pissing down or wet and really cold-theyre nice warm whan ya get going
