I'm looking for a comfortable audax bike for winter commuting and longer audaxes. It needs to be mechanically sound, but I'm not too fussed about paintwork.
I'm 6', so am after a frame to suit. But handlebar height is also important, as I don't want a drop of more than 1.5" from the seat.
Would consider p/x a 27 spd Thorn Explorer tandem in good condition (complete with Pendle carrier).
Am based nr Oxford.

Got an Aravis Audax 56cm (built square) 631 steel frame. 8 speed bar ends. Plenty of steerer tube left for high bars. I'm 5' 9" an found reach a bit long for me so it may fit you ok. Let me know if you would like any more details. I'm in S Cambs.

I have a white 2009 57cm Kinesis Racelight T frame for sale. The 'T' is their training range - full clearance and eyes for mudguards and even a rack. £160 collected from SW Lndon or £175 posted.

Have pm'ed re the Dawes and the Kinetic frame
The tandem is 20" / 17", which works out at up to 6' on the front, and about 5'8" on the back. We used it mostly for shipping kids around town - fine for 6yrs and up. Its got LX transmission, front/rear racks, Shimano hub dynamo, mudguards. If you don't have a p/x, I was going to ask £560. Red/Orange/Yellow paintwork, some minor paint chips only. I have photos if interested.

That sounds very nice, but probably a bit too expensive for what I'm looking for! But thanks for the thought.
