2008 Caldera Frame (Headset is to be replaced) I prefered it in the Red, I wasn't a massive fan of the green or the new decals on the 2009. The frames really light, I'm really pleased with it.
Rockshox Reba Team 100, these were a bit of a bargain at £250 and the cut down steerer is still plenty long enough, they came with a lock out which I'm looking forward to as I've never had one before!
Carbon Cycles Exotic stem, I ordered this and two 5mm carbon spacers, unfortunately the scandium bars and the carbon seatpost are out of stock till feb! God nows what's going on there but it's a shame as they are cheap and seem to be good quality
Finally, if anyone can tell me what these are for I'd be gratefull, they came with the forks but there's no fitting manual! The were just in the bag with the rock shox sticker, maybe it'll make sense when I start putting it together!

looks like they could be internal travel spacers for the rebas. could be wrong.
Should be a nice build. I agree about the decals, although i never really liked the 2008 ones either! but they are growing on me....
check out my old skool caldera!

Nice, I do love those maguras
Really not a fan of the 2010 one, the colour looks really boring, I've always liked Konas as they've always been a bit different but this ones dull as hell

agreed about that one, konas have genrally always been good with colour, why go with black and white. Much prefer the red one you've got there.
I hadn't really looked at the 2010 range at all before you posted that link. Design isn't too stong this year, but it'll probably grow one me and (judging by older konas) everyone else.
I like the new One20 delux , but its a shame they don't one with a better spec and forks. They seem to be fitting cheap brakes to everything.

As Hoathy has says they're the All Travel spacers.
You got a good deal on those Reba Teams. Did you buy them brand new and if so where from?
I paid £320 - 330 for mine an I thought that was a good deal.

They did for 2009... One20 Primo, and One20 Supreme.
The Supreme was/is a nice looking bike.
The 2 top end models have "kind of" been replaced in the line up by the Cadabra, and (wait for it...) Abra Cadabra.
Don't blame me, I didn't think of the names.

Crikey... If ya put that along the top tube you'd need to have Gorilla arms to reach the bars.

Looks like they've got the seatposts in stock again, got a choice of either
This one:

or this one
http://www.carboncycles.cc/index.php?s=0&t=0&c=47&p=212&
Both say not suitable for "aggressive mountain biking" not sure what constitutes that, I dont sit on the seat if there's a big whack coming up so surely this would be ok? Scanduim bars aren't in untill feb still which is a pain in the bum, gonna have to use my old bars from the really old bike that are really narrow

Nice frame, my son has one, in that nice shade of off yellow-beige.
And, good choice on the forks, I got exactly the same ones from Merlin for the NRS. Very impressed with them, although i didn't get those spacer thingymabobs.

El Capitano, what size seatpost has your son's frame got? My rubbish rubbish vernier gauge seems to think the seatpost is 26mm but the 27.2 I've got seems to fit in there fine! Not really sure to be honest, the vernier gauge was a bit more rubbish than I thought it would be but it only cost me £3 so I don't really trust it!

IIRC, his is 27.2. The Kona site used to have all the specs of the frames listed.

Thanks, I think I'm going to chuck that vernier gauge to be fair. I did have a look on the kona site but they've hidden the section with the 2008 bikes now, it's only got the 2009 specs
