We run a small accommodation facility, and the people last weekend had a pumpkin, which they made into a Jack o' Lantern, USA stylee.
Anyway, I went to pick it up today and put it the bin and...It had turned to mush at the bottom, weeping a thick, sticky clear liquid. No problem, I thought.
I lifted the lid, and the main body was full of 2 inch long white, furry fungus!!! GROSS!
It was like something out of the horror movie, "The Thing" with Steve McQueen
So, it was rubber gloves, antibacterial sprays and lots of cleaning up...UUURRRGGHHH!!!

Thort Steve Mc Queen did the original one, late 60's.

Yeah, my bad... Steve "The King of Cool" was in The Blob. Similar Alien-taking-over-humans stuff. Anyway...the furry slime was sick whatever it was!
