1. Roadworks/London traffic/stupid people who commute by car into the city - I don't know which is too blame, but the traffic was feckin' ridiculous fromLower Thames Street to Putney Bridge with the exception of Millbak to Chelsea Bridge and a small section of the NKR. It was then a nightmare in Teddington, Hampton and Kingston - a 1.5mile queue no less due to lane closures in Kingston.WTF???

2. To the cyclists on Embankment tonight. Not one stopped when I had a p******e, even the guy who I'd stopped to check on because he suffered the same fate not 100 yards before me - I could see him from where I was changing my tubes! Have commuters become that uncharitable? Confused

1. I feel your pain London roads are becoming un-ridable in places i'm beginning to think it would be wise to switch back to the Hybrid. I don't get it there are road works everywhere but still the road are shock, just try the run down from KX to Blackfriars - [boring mode]which I might add follows one of the many ancient rivers[/boring mode]

2. I think that's just Londoners sigh!

I was between CB and AB around 6.45. I was on the pavement, and the traffic was so bad, cyclists resorted to the pavement, so they rode within a yard of me. One was even in club kit, and you'd think he'd have stopped.

Tonight was one of those nights when your route home via CB would have been a good plan.

Sorry CJ but I was already at home by then, otherwise I'd have chipped in. Not so nice to see you got the pavement cycle w4nkers too...

I'd like to see all delivery van drivers have to cycle in london for an hour between 10pm and 3 pm and then see how like where the cun7s park and their crazy driving habits. FFS.

But that said at least I was on my bike - I pity the crazy fools who use public transport - roll on the mighty morpeth later!

Oh and fecking flip flop wearer's in london on the race track. Don't do it please. One of them almost caused a crash last week due to it sliding off pedal, then his wince when foot met pedal and subsequent wobble that took him in front of a car. BERK!

To the lycra clad MTB rider heading east out of cambridge last night.

1) Blue lights are not the correct colour for the rear of a bike
2) having a green light on the back of your helmet light doesn't make up for 1)
3) you now know what 'fast' is, keep working at it. Wink

one thing i've noticed recently is the amount of pubescents riding their BMX's on the road in darkness with no lights.
Are these numptys deliberately trying to remove themselves from the gene pool?
This was topped by what i observed on this mornings commute.
A kid on his way to school turning left on a busy multi laneTraffic Light T-Junction speaking into a mobile phone with one hand with the other steadying the bike.
pure madness!

Drafting

Why when you slow right down do some drafters insist on dropping speed and with you instead of overtaking. I'm not talking 1-2mph I'm talking a drop from 21mph to 16mph. That in and of itself is arguably more annoying than the drafting itself.

Food Chain number = 4

A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights as you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game

Doh!

I just opened up the "sunglasses pocket" on the outside of my rucksack to discover the arm of my Madison d'Arcs to no longer be attached to the rest of the frame Sad

I know I can get a replacement frame, but i'm not sure of the exact model or year, so hopefully the LBS I got them from can help me out.

HATE busting sunglasses, which is why i've never spent the cash on Oakleys. I know they'd break and then i'd be REALLY peed off!

I got Oakley's and was paranoid about breaking them.... had 3 years, no bother at all, got 2 hard cases for them, and never been a problem, just am more careful with them. In that time however, have broken about 3 other pairs.

However Oakley will repair them as long as you have done the warranty thing! Anyway get a pair of Half Jackets. virtually indestructible unless you lose them!

I seem to have perfected some sort of cloaking device. Last night I had:

1. Minicab pull out from give way into my path as I negotiated a sharp right hand bend. At the next set of lights he insisted there was plenty of space. That's ok then!

2. Taxi pull out from line of parked cars straight into my path. Got a nice test of my emergency stop.

3. Old lady started to walk out straight in front of me despite the fact I'm on a green and have a line of traffic to my right.

4. Attempted left hook coming past a side street to see a car appear in my periferal vision and then cut straight across in front of me. Car was indicating so I guess that's ok too.

To the idiot bus driver on the Bexley Road this morning, just because you've put your indicators on it doesn't mean you can pull out immediately. It might be worth checking your mirrors first just in case there's a bike in the way that you're forcing into the oncoming traffic. Then passing cyclists within about 6 inches and virtualy forcing them into parked cars isn't a good idea. And your other trick of waiting for the cyclist to hit you rear off side corner before executing your pulling out trick forcing him to brake sharply and skid is just damn anti-bike Twisted Evil I could see the passenger was still trying to pay as you executed this manouver, hence the reason I pulled out to overtake you, it was very funny when you then had to stop 20 yards down the road, to let the passengers that had just got on pick themselves up off the floor and pay for their journey.

It's no wonder that cyclists shout through your window you prick.

pain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................

To the no lights completely blacked out ninja on a black bike with no reflectors who shouted 'christ we can see you coming' just before nearly getting totalled by a car in the pitch dark rain at 6am this morning.

do the maths son, thats why drivers don't skid and swerve just around me with their horn on full blast making me wobble and bounce off the parked cars.

assuming you're not too dead to read this.

1. The otherwise well prepared and suitably visable MTBer who decided to skip off the pavement and onto the road just before Albert Bridge. I'm fairly sure he was relying car headlight throw (or lack of) instead to looking becuase he didn't see me and looked pretty surprised when I shot past him and told him to look where he was going.

2. The idiot in the 911 who did a u-turn on NKR which involved reversing into the cycle lane. He lives in ignorance of how close my bike and teeth came to scratching his lovely car.

FCN - 5 and now handing out free scalps.
