I'm looking at upgrading my chaingrings, actually just the middle and the granny
at them moment i have doere middle and granny and a middleburn large
as you can tell from the title of the post im thinking of switchng the the two doere rings to xt or xtr, which is better, performance wise, im not to worried about weight and what are they made from, I've heard of some that have titanium teeth are these any better

If anything, i'd say deore inner, and then xt middle for the composite/steel middle which is awesome!

type 2)

To be honest, deore is the best chainring out there. All 9 speed shimano uses similar patterns so shift pretty much the same, but the deore is steel so lasts ages. A little heavier because of this, but that is the only difference. So swapping to XT or XTR will do absolutely nothing and you wouldn't know the difference.
