hi people - I currently have Conti Gravity 2.3s and they are wide, heavy (the wire beaded version) and a bit rubbish generally.... so I could do with something a bit more responsive and not so heavy. ideally something that's a good allrounder, 2.1, can handle the mud as well as dry (don't want much do I). not bothered about UST, I'll run tubes
so I've narrowed it down to three, the Ignitors were recommended by my bro (but given the thumbs down by someone else) the schwalbe's were recommended by another rider, the panaracers I've seen recommended elsewhere... or is there something else I should be thinking about???
I still feel that varable gears are only for people over forty-five.
Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer?
We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!

No tyre will do everything but the choices you have all work OK in a wide range of conditions I would go for the cheapest

For conti - personally I think their 2.2 rubber queen tyre is an excellent tyre compared to their other mid field offerings (hated the mountain kings).
I've also run highrollers and minion dhfs in 2.35 versions which are both plenty grippy tyres but may be a bit heavy and OTT compared to the more XC/trail tyres you've listed above.
A couple of my mates rate the nevegals by kenda too.
Personally I ran the panaracers on an old XC bike and I liked them, quick and shed mud quite well too i seem to remember..
