Hi guys,

I took my Spesh Pitch 09 out today for a blast and when doing my pre ride checks noticed that pushing the forks down (RS Pike 327) I could only get about 20mm travel and then it stopped as if it had hit something metallic in the fork?

Not sure what's going on here - the bike hasn't been ridden in about 6 weeks but has never been crashed and I rarely do drop off (1 foot max).

To help explain more - I have the fork extened to the full 140mm, then when I lean on the forks and push down the forks contract to 120mm (as denoted by the marker on the stanchions) then just stops as if it's hit something internal. I'm able to wind down the trval about 30-40 mm and back up again. Intersetingly when I wind down to 90mm or 120mm I can't push down at all - i.e. the forks are stuck?

Nw I still took it out on an XC ride to test and when going down some medium descents (slightly rocky) the front forks sounded like it as rattling and again I obviously only benefited from the 20mm or so travel they allowed me!

Am going to take to LBS but just wondered if there is any easy fix.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Looked in the FAQS?
if it is not that then i think you have just killed them by riding them.
