beautiful - but those shifter and brake lines need chopping down to tidy up at the bars
and if it was mine i'd be clear taping the whole thing to preserve it

It's been OK so far, I must admit though that it hasn't been used that much as it's my tart bike, so has had VERY low use, plus I have not subjected it to harsh/wet/muddy conditions..... it's a lot of money (I got mine last year for £70)
I am not sure, given the choice again, whether I would opt for another. I would be more than happy with the SRAM jobby (which is considerably cheaper)

I have ordered some Helitape, but am still waiting to get it in the post
The brake line needed to be that length as it was very tight when turning the bars. I'l live with the mess

A couple of further modifications have been made/new parts ordered.
Now she is properly indexed, took her out for her maiden voyage this morning (about 5 road miles and some XC singletrack out through my local woods) - man, she is fast as fooook, very light, very nimble, great handling... and as ever the SIDs are awesome and the racing ralphs are also, extremely fast rolling.!!! happy as a pig in shite!
I replaced the pushloc hose with some white Goodridge carbon outer, replaced the pushloc cable with Goodridge gear cable.
Just ordered some tarty bits for her, will get some pics up when she's TOTALLY finished! Both from Clee cycles, I am contemplating getting some jockey wheels in blue when I have some spare cash.

Bottlecage bolts (in blue)
And going to order these (will match the frame perfectly)
Then I shall leave her alone...

Yep that looks stunning now it's built up, certainly a bike I would be proud to ride.
But looking at these two pictures, don't you think something looks a little out of place on both sexy Scandium bikes?
What with Cheesy's bike having a blue/white colour scheme & mine having a red/black/silver scheme?
(Sorry just joking we were going to swap brake sets at one point, so I couldn't resist lol)

Is that your bike? VERY nice!!!
I took the maguras out for a 'proper' ride and they are great stoppers for such a lightweight brake - probably becuase I am running 180mm up front!

I'll do a post with it when I've changed a couple more things out so you can see it better.
Those Maguras are highly rated for their weight & 180/160 is more than you need on such a light bike, I only run 160/140 & that stops mine fine.
I ended up swapping the Ultimates for my older Mono Minis, even though the colours a bit off for my bike it was such a great deal I couldn't resist.
The front needed bleeding though & I spilt a little DOT 4 on the lever, notice the one in the photo no longer says 'JUICY' above 'ULTIMATE'
I still have a half dozen little upgrades to do, things like the jockey wheels/seat clamp like yourself, weighed mine at the shop yesterday
Was so close to being in the 18's...

Yes I did notice the lever? Thought I was going mad, they are very good brakes the Ultimates...... Amazing stoppers
I weigh in at approx 13.5 stone now, lost half a stone somewhere....
Originally I had 160/160 then (as you know) had the fork compatibility issue which meant I had to go up to 180 on the front, and to be honest, as long as yuo are not doing 30km DH and slam them on, they are fine, shame they don't come in blue
When she's done, get some pics up, Im loving the Ritchy forks!!!
Are you going for KCNC for j'wheels, clamps etc.
Check out Clee Cycles for some bling.
I went for red bottle cage bolts (for the red white and blue theme)

The grips look really nice, I run WCS Neoprenes myself but I noticed you had a set but sold them. I like them a lot as they are light, really comfy & amazingly last. I have an issue where my palm always eats through grips but even after months the WCS ones have no sign of wearing in that place.
I may go KCNC but probably not tbh, I think I'll get a Woodman seat clamp as it's the same sort of money (slightly cheaper) & lighter at 9.5g. As for jockey wheels it's either KCNC Ceramics or the lighter full carbon jobs (again same sort of price).
I'm also waiting on a KMC X10SL chain (lighter than the X9SL & from user reviews longer lasting) & the new black WCS Streem Carbon railed saddle. After that it's just front XT der/shifter combo to change & that should be it finished after 4 years of building it in stages (money issues) unless I somehow talk myself into an XTR crank like yourself.
The Ritchey forks are great on a 80mm designed frame, I have had Pace style ones previously & they flexed like crazy. Now it steers amazingly, I did run it with Fox RLT's as well but for my trails I honestly prefer rigid, bit old skool unfashionable but what do I care

The SRAM 8 and 9 spd quick-links are brilliant, but for some reason, although the 10 spd look exactly the same, they only go together once and then are fixed.

IMPORTANT: 10SP Links are POWERLOCK, they fit together but then are not designed to come apart again.

I think they look exactly the same, so I'd be surprised if you couldn't get it apart again, the machining around the connecting holes is identical, no extra locking element that I can see.
