OK, so she's small and doesn't have many teeth, but she saw me through the painful times again today, when the road ahead was long and steep. Maybe I'll outgrow her one day and swap her for a more compact model, but I bet she'll be back with me in the end... Smile

granny knows best!

she may go slow but she gets you there, just erm... slowly.

when things are at a low you still know that good ol' granny will be there for you, again and again relentlessly, to the point where you think are you just going around in circles, round and round , round and round, round and round, especially when its an uphill struggle.

But then things get back to being on even ground again and you realise that ok! granny hasn't got much in the way of teeth but she makes up for it in just being dependable and resilient.

bless her! Granny is my hero

*I love you Gran* x RIP x

We certainly needed our granny yesterday. She generously lent her tiny teeth (only 22!) to help us crawl up the hill that makes us wonder why we live where we do. The reason? We weren't cyclists when we moved here in the early 70s and we had up to 650ccs of pulsating engine power - who needed granny then?

Please tell me we're not getting too old for this ... please!

Geoff

Old cyclists never die; they just fit smaller chainrings ... and pedal faster

You'll only be too old when you can't turn granny round. Wink
