Hi
I am building a bike for my dad and have a £500 budget.
He will be using it only for XC, no drops or jumps. He wants it to be light, and mainly have a comfy saddle .
£500 is for the bike only, so no deductions for tools or accesories need to be made.
I am thinkinking:
RockShox Tora 302
Exotic Handlebars,Stem,Seatpost
SDG Bel Air Cro-Mo Saddle
Wellgo V8 Copys
Shimano Deore Chainset
Think those will be definate, any suggestions on a cheap frame and wheels?
Thanks

looks good to me! with a bit of trimming, it could be a winner! i think some cost could be lost around the finishing kit area. i def think the 456 frame is a great idea tho, its mega tough, pretty light, and is a seriously upgradable chassis, its the hub of many totaly top, "dream" builds, including mine! its got to be a good place to start.

ATC have some great frames on offer from £55 inc the XCo1 and the cromo steel Handsome Dog Talisman at £60! And it only weighs 4.2lbs.
The Deore groupo is a no brainer, and Exotic are cheap for great light kit.
