hi
I live near dalby forest and regularly do the red and black route there. i currently ride a specialized hardrock sport disk 06 and i am wanting to replace it with a full suspension bike. i want to spend around £1000. i want it to be able to climb and descend well

I am unsure about what bike to get but I have been looking at the Specialized Fsr Xc comp and the Trek fuel EX 5.5 but still not sure about them.
any suggestions for other bikes?

I'd suggest having a look at the boardman range - they are very good value. Boardman fs team: http://www.boardmanbikes.com/mtbfs/fs_team.html

Mongoose Teocali.

Good Trail centre bike and relatively cheap. Mine was excellent at the Laggan Trail Centre this year. Climbs and descends well.

You can get a decent FS bike for under a grand despite what some people may say.

Try Pauls Cycles, various models for various prices.
