Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with these bottle cages. I had two fitted to my bike and both have now snapped in less than 2 months of use.
Don't want to order another set if this is a regualr occurance with these cages.

Why bother with CF for cages ? Get the tackx black plastic and alloy ones - same weight and a lot less money.

+1 Tacx Tao - although I have Elite carbon look cages on my Kuota, carbon look without the fragility.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos |

I have to agree, these were my first foray into carbon cages (and my last) and I am far from happy with their performance. One would be fair enough, but for both to fail (in the same place) does not make these a good investment. I only got them as part of a build from Planet X and I liked the look of them. Maybe it is carbon cages in general or maybe the Planet X ones are not as good as other brands but it does seem like a waste of time making cages from carbon.
Think I will get a set of these as they will look nice on my Ti frame and are a bit more understated.

I've used carbon cages (Omega, now Enigma) for years and they look (and work) as good as when I bought them. I used to used Taos but had two break.
I've found a good cage and just stuck with it, like many bikes bike components I guess.

Have 4 of these - 2 each on 2 different bikes and no problems with either in over a year of use. Looks like you have just had bad luck.

A very generous offer from Dave@PlanetX indeed.
I have mailed you directly and would be delighted to take up your kind offer.
It would appear that for some reason I have been unlucky with my cages and judging by the reaction from people that have had no problem I am in the minority of people suffering any problems. But anyway, the offer to replace goes over and above the call of duty and IMO is why PX stand out amongst others.

Never used Planet X but that is the sort of customer service that would make me consider them in future!
