I thought this was supposed to be a thread about which team Bert may go to but has deterioated (as usual) into bitchiness.
I think I'd like to see him go to Quickstep - all those strong riders helping on the cobbles will be good to see.

Actually the thread was originally asking who else is dissapointed about Bertie staying with Astana, and as expected most folks couldnt give a monkeys either way. |
OK , I give a monkeys.
I am not disappointed that Contador is staying with Astana. I am rather pleased .

Ah spotted the error in that article.
Vino was not ejected from the 2006 Tour. Ironically Vino was unable to race in 2006 because 6(?) of his Astana Wurth squad were implicated in OP. One of them being Alberto Contador.

Serious wonga,that.
Problem is,will Vino be happy being his Domestique de lux?,& will the TDF organisers be happy letting the team ride, with Vino there?
Some ex dopers welcomed back with open arms, some seem to be persona non grata

You've got to feel sorry for Duran. He had a great career and he's most remembered for 'No Mas'

No Más was in response to your arguing.
The Clown pic to your following comment.
Duran was one of the greats, no question.
But don't assume what I know of boxing based on a joke.

Point out where i said what you know of boxing is based on a joke, i said people who remember RD from the no mas usually dont know their boxing and can write their knowledge of boxing on the back of a postage stamp. Whether that applies to you i neither know nor care .

From Contador talking about the 8million which is a totally false rumour...what's new.

can't imagine Contador will want Alexandre Vinokourov's "support" at the 2010 TDF..
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/vinokourov-says-kashechkin-a-risk-for-astana
Vinokourov said that if the Spaniard remains, he will have the full support of the team. "If Contador remains part of Astana, we will help him win the Tour de France."
Vinokourov said a good performance at Giro d'Italia would be high on his personal agenda for 2010, but that a start at the Tour de France would be the ultimate satisfaction since his return to the sport in August.
"I would like to finish high in the general classification at the Giro d'Italia. But if there is a chance to start in the Tour de France, I will try to win a stage or two. For me, I would be overjoyed to simply be able to start again at the Tour; I've missed its unique atmosphere."

I dunno
As a team mate, he seems quite popular. Didn't Chris Horner say he was great to ride with. Gallopin said he was a pleasure to work with, a true professional.
Contador, who has been a team mate previously, stated a year ago, that he preferred him over Armstrong.
Contador's concern may be more to do with the politics?
