Pair of PRO ultimate winter gloves,
Elite bottle cage and the Planet X is back from fitting in paignton, had a lovely ride back on it. Plus I have bought a bottle cage I get to post a pic of the new bike too. (Because the bottle cage is attached).

Just pulled the trigger on some handbuilt Rigida Chrinas on tiagra hubs from parker. Hurrah hopefully no more weekly hub services for me, stupid ritchey rims.

Also bought some rim tape and a new gatorskin to put on said new hoops.

Yesterdays trip to the LBS resulted in new bearing for the current back wheel as the old ones had flat spots on the drive side - crap seals I tell yus.

Saves buying a 12mm allen key Wink

Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

Oh don't get me started, frickin ritchey website tells me it's a 12mm allen key so I pop down to Btown cycles and a 12mm doesn't fit, turns out it's only a 10mm Rolling Eyes so I get it off but the body they have in stock is wrong so they're ordering me one in so I've got spare wheels. In the meantime to freehub body had a nice 5 hour bath in white spirit followed by a couple of drops of lube down the inside, should see me through the week fingers crossed went for a quick 5 miles over the chase earlier to test it and my new light, which is amazing BTW.

Mmm scotch - it makes me ranty but happy Very Happy

CP, truly you are a carbon fibre superpower.

Just found this site: http://www.carbonfibergear.com/
Lit, I'm sure you could put some cleats on the shoes...

Invested in some armbands for my baggy on the arms Polais Air Defence jacket, they flap around in the slipstream. Did use some elastic lengths stitched together but they have now perished and wanted some new bike stuff and got some reflective velcro straps, couldn't get my head around the slap-wrap type.

Got a pair of Crud Road Mudguards, going to fit them this week.

On the lookout for a half decent rechargeable front light now, any recomendations?

Not got one myself, but they have rave reviews.

Going to go the torch route presonally, to compliment my Ayups.

After spending so long deliberating on the purchase last winter that by the time I'd settled on it, it was too late ... I got me a Fenix L2D! Went out for a test run round Sefton Park a couple of nights ago, went in search of the darkest, tree-lined, un-lit, furthest-from-the-lights-of-civilisation tracks I could find, and put the Fenix on turbo mode.

Let's just say I'm looking forward to staying out late this winter Very Happy

Anyone know how long an L2D would last on, say, "high" mode (not turbo) on a pair of 2500mAh NiMH rechargeables? Ta.

+10000

I've just got one of these it's brilliant, it's really small rediculously bright and the battery last 3 hours on full power. Full power is only needed for totally unlit riding at high speed.

I have an unlit stretch om my commute that is about 1/3 of a mile long and can happy go 25mph + on low power.

I got mine from bestofferbuy.com it came in about 10 days. Very happy indeed.

EDIT: I forgot to say it's still only £50 from there too. If you want to know how big it is it is almost identical to a lupine tesla.

Unfortunately not you can buy them from geomangear.com as well as other spares. I only didn;t get the light from them because i didn;t wat the extra modes to click through. TBH though I don't think I'd use it helmet mounted on the road, it's really frickin bright!
