Bah! Just fitted some roadracers to my Boardman Team, only to realise that I'll have to detach and re-attach the front one all the time as I'll be doing a part-car, part-bike commute with the front wheel off in the back of the car. I suppose undoing the thumb-screws near the hub will be the easiest way of detachment and re-attachment, but what a pain.
Oh well. They went on easily enough, although I will have to re-tighten the front brakes as I needed to adjust to get enough clearance.

Ah yes, that's what I meant, but some detachment is necessary to take off the front wheel, since the guards are attached to both frame and wheel. Just a bit of a bugger at 6am in the winter to unscrew the guard stays from the fork attachment bits.

What's with the idea of having the guard itself in three separate parts, stupid Idea if you ask me!
OK, it's probably for a perfectly good reason, I'm just not very appriciative of it at the moment as the screw fell out of the lower front guard section on my second ride with them on, I wouldn't care but until then I thought that they were brilliant
So it looks like the guard section is going to be stuck back on with arraldite, when I get round to it.

I haven't seen these in the flesh so I'm a bit confused - how can the guards be attached to the wheels?

There are stays going from the guards to, in the case of the front wheel, the forks. Then there's a cable tie going through guard and around brake washers, hence attaching guard to frame.
Hang on, hang on. I'm talking absolute bollocks, it just dawned on me. I'm blaming the abx I'm on for a tooth abscess.
As you were.

Just done a new 'advanced' fixing video, see above. Tricks and tips for a real good fit.
The Roadracers are in three sections for 2 very good reasons...
1) tooling for one-piece blades would have been triple the price
2) packaging would have been huge, making it difficult to display in the shops.

Some handy tips there Mr Crud. I had to resort to cutting off the front of the rear guard a week or so ago since there just wasn't enough clearance. A pair of scissors did the job nicely, no need for a saw. I also wrapped a bit of electrical tape over the edges of the guard where I'd made the cut - just so it wouldn't mark the frame if it rubbed.
I have noticed that the front guard gets pushed to the side a little when I brake but I don't think it's enough that it's hitting the tyre.
Oh and if you do have to cut the rear guard it means you have a spare nut and screw, just in case you manage to lose one!

How did you fit them to a team carbon! my mate cannot get his to fit the team as there isnt much room at all. Plenty of room on the pro though...

Just cleaned by bike, and noticed the paint has been worn away by the rear end of the rear guard rubbing against the seat tube. Will put a bit of tape on the seat tube to stop this.
