Shocked chuff!
thats good for the money, the Zen has better rims and longer travel though?
still for half the money thats pretty good going!
Is the frame better on the Zen2? been eyeballing one for a while now, and the wallet is getting warm in my pocket if you know what I mean? lol

Hard to sum the frames up - both aren't bad, and are built to take some stick. The new Zen frame looks a bit svelter than the older ones.

I do quite like the older models:

Zen is designed for more travel than say a Trace.

I was working in a bike shop when the first ever Zens came out way back in 2000 - was £500 with an adjustable travel RST fork. But it had that coreected geometry - I nearly got one!

The GT looks like an awesome spec, will certainly look further into this one...

Halfords occasionally have 20% off GT, worth watching out for.

I have a Marin Rocky Ridge '06 and its great. Would definately recommend it, especially as the '09, i assume, is even better!
