hi guys,
just wondered if the rotor appears to be wobbling inside the caliper does this mean the rotor is warped? its isnt my wheel as i have just had that looked at and tightened so there is no play there?
its just i put new pads in last night and it was a bugger to align perfectly as it on rotation it always caught slightly, then on closer inspection the actual rotor is slightly moving side to side? is it warped?? if so i am pretty novice so have no idea on how to true it, is it easier just to get a new rotor?

A temp fix would be to straighten it, but if you want it perfectly true in your caliper, its best to get a new one.

why? new ones are often warped. |
Aye, i suppose the description of perfectly true is a little OTT for this application. But trying to get the warp out of a disk can get a little frustrating.

not sure if it mentions it in the how to bit, but hold a marker pen against the edge of the disc an spin the wheel to work out where the high or low spot is , so you know the area to work with.i bent mine a bit some time ago , an straightend it out by hand to good effect, been no trouble since.
