&^%$!!!!!

New shock arrived today Very Happy bushes from old shock don't fit Sad replacing ario 2.1 with monarch 4.2, thought the bushes where the same (only just replaced them).

The eyelet in the new shock is slightly wider, I think the Ario was 12mm and the new shock is 1/2" - now I'm pretty good at searching the internet, but bike manufactor's don't go out of there way to help with online documentation.

Accounding to GT the shock reducers are 40x8 and 22x8 and an sram 2008 parts manual I found on t'nternet implies the monach has a 1/2" eyelet.

SO......I think I need a 40mm x 8.1mm 1/2 inch and a 22 x 8.1 1/2 inch bush from betd - unless anyone knows anywhere cheaper (as this will set me back £30!!!!)

Am I correct?

I know I seem to be the only one posting on this thread, but just thought I’d let you know, I've fitted the Monarch 4.3 and had my first ride at Llandegla today - totally transformed the bike (for the better!)

For one the bike was quieter, used to be loads of chatter as I was riding. I was taking off a lot more than usual - my speed was up quite a bit! On the really steep rocky climb coming out of the black (by Offa's Dyke) the bike sailed up, for some reason even the front fork felt softer!!

Absolutely chuffed to bits - best £190 I've spent!!! So If anyone has an I-drive with an Ario shock - change it now!

Glad to hear it's all worked out Wink Sounds like a much cheaper solution to a new bike!
