Of course the ride home will be faster and more exciting if you're drunk...

FACT

Being slightly tipsy though can lead to you making the silly decision to ride home the "hilly" way, not that it matters as the warm glow and mild numbness makes it all [feel] that easier then when your sober Smile

Lovers Rock: Breakfast in bed, Loving you (Minnie Ripperton) and Tears on my pillow.

Tunes!

That's a big person something. Turn up in a car, cab, your own or your friends. I'm all for riding but there are times when it's just not done. That is one of them. Even been to Brockwells (now Sebastians wine bar) or and listen to Vibes FM.

Everyone! Party on Stroud Green road next saturday - result!

A cocktail bar on SGR - my, things are looking up!!

To be honest it's probably OK to leave your bike locked up outside - I think theres a reasonable number of racks around - and it's a fairly lively road, so probably people around. Probably a safe place to cycle too....but worth taking main roads home and braving the traffic, rather than cutting through side streets....

I went over to a friend's for the US election night. Left there just after 4, and didn't get passed by another car for about 7 miles (West Norwood to Wandsworth). It was brilliant, if moist!

Totally go for it, S. Leave the bike in the coats room. Total freedom, and cheap to boot.

Yep, I've spent many a happy hour riding around the darkest depths of london in the middle of the night, with and without a pawn outfit, and with and without a skinful o'beer.

The only problem from Clapham back to Ealing is battersea power station. I seem to be drawn to it.

Go for it.

Laughing Laughing I'm not sure why I even bothered posing the question on this forum but thanks guys Laughing Laughing

DDD, for my company's christmas party, I'll cab it to and from as I'll be in a ballgown. For this particular event I'm sure arriving/leaving by bike will be fine. This particular (short) big person is too old to be concerned about how it would look to others (although my girls might make me think about it for an extra 10 seconds).

Ain't no point in getting to ones 40s if one has to 'conform'. I'm practicing to age disgracefully Wink Wink
