Where did you ride today?

Got a general MTB question that doesn't fit anywhere else? Here's the place.

Sunday I played round Healey Nab and White Coppice. Kept thinking I had a flat tyre bike was wobbling and sliding all over the place. Then I noticed the shock shaft was covered in oil and the bike was turning into pogo stick. :(

Going to send it off to Mojo in the morning hope its just a blown seal.

Or it could just be ice cream...

Today I had my first ride. 8 miles round Stainburn forest. I'm saddle sore, I need a more padded ass, lol.

Extended my bank holiday weekend by a day and spent today doing a quick 18 miles around Wakerley and Fineshade Woods. Did 2 laps of the Scar Tree red route, still needs a bit of work.
Back to work tomorrow, boohoo.

Two laps of Llandegla Blue, which in my opinion is a lot more fun than one lap of Llandegla Red.

Absolutely. The second half of Llandegla Red gives very little reward for the effort, all short climbs and dull descents.

Two laps of the blue is two long climbs then two nice flowy descents that are good fun, without too many people knocking about.

Antur Stiniog today, on my Blender.

Great fun, though horrid weather. Stuck to the blue most the time, had one off there, and rode the red route once and had a nice OTB moment when I realised a drop couldn't be rolled just as my front wheel went over the edge. Luckily landed on the grass mainly, so no injuries, but my waterproof trousers are ruined

Fantastic day out

I found some really nice root ridden singletrack just off my usual route in Royton. Great fun, if a little slippy.

Tarw Du black route, Coed y Brenin. Stones, rocks and boulders! Oh, and err, more stones, rocks and boulders!
This trail was designed to kill your bike :) Classic! Do it in the rain, even better!

It was wet so there weren't many dog walkers in Tandle Hill so I just bombed all over the forest, if you stick close to the perimeter there are some nice little sections. They've even stuck some boardwalk in.

Went out midweek local for the first time in a month, just a 7 or 8 mile spin up,
Today went over Dovestones resvoir, up the hill towards the moor, found some places to dump bodies, got lost, got lost again, fell over some rocks, saw the air ambulance, fell over some more rocks then came down the back of the top resevoir,
Cracking day, not big miles but long climbs and tricky rocky sections, big time granny gear.

Blast on the HT up the Rochdale Canal to Hollingworth Lake, had a bit of an explore and found a nice bridleway that showed promise then deteriorated into a (marked as such) footpath. I thought it headed to Piethorne.

Back through Milnrow then found some nice little bits just opposite Jubilee Bends.

Moderately successful 38km, going to throw myself round Lee and Cragg next weekend for some gnar.

Did Hopton the other week and thought it was a lot of fun, the downhill bits were great.

Did a 40k route from Darley Bridge in the Peaks yesterday. The weather was fantastic and the trails lovely and dry.

Took the DH bike out for it's first proper bash of the season. And damp, sticky trails for once 'round here...awesome!
