rides Huddersfield/Homfirth Area

Hi,
Im looking to meet new mates for rides and days out on the trails. not been riding long, just riding 15 -25 miles around Homefirth area on mi own. looking to go further afield or around this area.

The area you mention is one of my favourite cycling areas but for a road bike. I'm no stranger to areas such as Holm Moss, Saddleworth, Scammonden, Denby Dale, Woodhead or Pensitone but I'm not sure about MTB routes are.

has 21 bridlepaths listed for Kirklees.

The local authority site has a couple of MTB routes but, as ever with local authorities they think (and plan accordingly) that cycling comprises mother and father on the £75 H@lfords special and 2 ikkie, bikkie kids on 10" wheel bikes complete with handlebar streamers and stabilizers (the bikes that is, not the kids!).

Also try Sustrans for things like the Trans Pennine Trail etc.

Hey im from Hudds.

I currently do fairly less intense cycles, canals etc but over the next few months i will be doing a charity cycle but after that i would be up for some weekend cycling if you fancy it?

Guys, don't live far out of Huddersfield and looking for ride/trail buddies to 'mix it up' a bit. Be good to tag along if your happy?
