Wrong time of year for demo days....

Look at manufacturers (Trek and Spesh are good) and big outlets websites and eventually you'll see a demo day advertised....

Most places (Pedal and Spoke in Peaslake for one) will let you use a bike for a day - costs about £40 which they'll refund if you b uy one.

I live just outside the M25 to the North West. I was demoing bikes earlier on in the year. There are naff all demo days around here and not at this time of the year any way.

There are a few bike shops that have demo bikes but I couldn't find anywhere where nearby you can turn up and try a few bikes in one day. I think the nearest might have been at Cannock Chase run by Leisure Lakes.

Otherwise as The Beginner says, try the manufacturers website's.

If you can get to Mountain Trax in Wokingham (Near Swinley) then you can pay £30 ish and test bikes for a month (not one bike for a whole month, obviously).

Giant have a test ride service where they will send you the bike of your choice for a 5 day demo. I think it costs £30

It's a very long time to wait, but there's a demo day every year at QE (near Petersfield, Hants) organised by Hargroves... loads of 29ers this year, so I'm guessing even more next year along with 650b. Choice of Spesh, Scott, Salsa, Cube, Cannondale and Kinesis - also Pivot and Stevens (Pivot now have a 29er I think... not sure about Stevens).
