Get fit for riding.

Hi all. I've recently gotten into mountain biking and I ride cc using mostly SUSTRANS routes weekly. My problem is pain. Not the kind of 'oh, feel the burn' kind of pain from hammering an uphill section, but really really painful backside followed by a sore back kind of pain. I find myself needing to freewheeling just to get off the saddle and sit up a bit. My first thought is to chuck money at it and replace the saddle and get a different stem but I wanted to see what the wisdom of crowds says first. 6' and 14 stone. Giant Anthem large. Stock stem-110 with 6 degree. Carbon bars and carbon seat post. Stock saddle. My rides are usually 50-60 miles. Pain after 20 ish miles. Your thoughts please
