Last 2km

I would recommend looking at the photos on steephill. They have the veloimages people and they have this really cool and unique finishing edit to their photos. They are used in TofTurkey and TofCali too.

Cav looking good on that bumb, nice work Modolo. Sagan - lacking a little fitness.

Ulissi and Betancur are riding this race.

Where's the 20 pages criticising OPQS's lead out?

Ooops - that roundabout looked like it took out a chunk of the bunch who went round the left not realising it was a sharp right exit rather than a straight over!!

And with the added value of the commentators disagreeing on who won :)

Cavendish came first and second. What's there to discuss?

If he came second last year people were all over Sky for their poor lead out and not dedicating enough support to Cav.

Mark Cavendish ‏@MarkCavendish

So @SachaModolo has a twitter handle. This guy's good. I believe if his director puts more confidence in him, he'll win a lot more races.

I gather that Modolo's team did bugger all work during the stage?

Has someone hacked Cav's account? It's not normal for him to suggest someone beat him because they were good!

So Canal10 actually has a camera, rather than someone standing at the back of the crowd with a mobile (Canal13 last night).

From the clip Cav appears to be overgeared in the last few meters - maybe misjudged the finish gradient (or underestimated the opposition)?

He looked like he was labouring a bit there like into a headwind or a bit of a gradient.

the middle of january factor is probably fairly significant - no one's at their best now! otherwise contador would be claiming the overall, and thats unlikely
