Intriguing thing for me is...P-N. Froome's doing T-A, no mention of it for Bradders. So...maybe Porte's going to get the shout? Think they have to give him something bigger than just defending his Tour of Algarve title.

That BBC item you linked earlier with Brad's LA comments had Froome down as doing P-N :?

Strange. Sky website with that link has Froome riding T-A.

good article about wiggins and froome in the telegraph. Appear to have quite a good working relationship in training, might be a bit different in race conditions when the pressure is on maybe?

I really worry about Wiggins. He definitely has a screw loose or two.

Sky also need to sort their PR.

Wiggins is now saying he is going for the Giro Tour double. Where does that leave Froome?! Starting to feel sorry for him...

The whole Wiggins/Froome thing is becoming a bit of a mindf*ck/circus

If they go toe to toe, I hope Froome destroys Wiggins.

Maybe he can join forces with Contador.

Good - There is no reason for Sky to say diddly squat about who they re going to ride for at either race. Keep all the other competitors guessing right up until the start line

Porte. They're both going to be riding for Porte.

As long as thats all it is - tactical.

I used to think along the same lines but now i'm starting to wonder whether there is genuine competition/hostility between the two. Don't get me wrong though, A Badger/Lemond style rift during this years Tour would make excellent viewing!

How so? I really don't see it as some sort of tactical masterstroke by Sky.

I wouldnt say masterstroke...but why tell Bertie/Nibali/Schlecky etc what sort of rider they might be facing this summer? There's just no point...

The only people that really give a monkeys are people that want to update their blog...

Really don't think Bertie/Nibali/Schlecky are to bothered. I'm sure they will pick their own targets for the season and won't matter who they are facing. What are they going to do differently if they know they will face Froome rather than Wiggins or vice versa?

in the interest of sanity (mine) and saving ddraver from falling into his own grave, here's the situation

- Froome wants to be leadz at the Tour
- Wiggo wants to be leadz at the Tour
- Froome's been told, prepare and train to be leadz - that's your primary focus for the year
- Wiggo's been told, prepare and train to peak for the Giro - which is your major GT goal for the year - but we're also gonna to help get you to a position where you can come out of the Giro and hold your form through to the Tour four weeks later
- If Froome puts in really good performances in the lead up to the Tour (and critically, doesnt get that bleeding bilharzia again), he's probably on for leadz with Wiggo as Plan B riding with him
- If Wiggo has another stormer in the run up to Jun, and Froome doesnt impress in the races and in his numbers...I reckon Wiggo may get the nod for leadz, and Froome is bridesmaid again

OF COURSE Wiggo's saying he'd love to do the double - he's a bloody bike racer at his peak for God's sake

I'm now going for a lie down

EDIT: and cake
