Those should keep you guys ticking over for a while. There was one awesome hi-res photo of a lone rider going up a mountain pass but I can't find it. If I do I will post it.

Rapha may not be everyone's cup of tea but I think the photography (and video) they use is excellent; http://www.rapha.cc/downloads has already been mentioned and there are more of the grainy B&W style pictures on Flickr e.g. Ben Ingham's http://www.flickr.com/photos/raphacc/sets/72157625420346214/

I'm not really a SKY fan, but thanks for taking the time to post any way.

The Rapha images are awesome, and I may use one of those. I think I've said before that Paris-Roubaix is my favourite race and I'd love some amazing images of that. Had a look around but struggling to find any decent photos I could use. Something that conveys the pain, that evokes the nostalgia, significance and emotion of this phenomenal Classic. Black & White would be best, but colour could work too.

Paris Roubaix - any good?

That's pretty good, but the wrong res - looks awful at 1920x1080 - too stretched and distorted. Thank you though ;)

Don't think this will work at the resolution you have, but a great photo! Look at the state of the pave!

Nice. And it only takes a minute or two using Photoshop's cloning tool to remove the logo.

Ah, those were the days when France was littered with that "Pave" in town and country.

It reminds me of several roads in Surrey.

Not sure where to get that tbh. Never seen it before or even heard of the race.

Here is a hi-res someone may like as a desktop:

Again not wallpaper-worthy (in fact the owner disabled linking), but this is taken in the same spot:

offtopic/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_Race back in the days before eurosport, a fair bit of the eastern block sections were on cobbles and pretty gruelling by all accounts /back on topic.
