Been doing only what's absolutely necessary to keep it running. Rebuilt the Boardman Road Comp from bargain-basement parts in order to use it as a winter commuter/shopper. Fitted a pair of Continental Gatorskins after 6 punctures in 5 days on the factory tyres (Vittoria Zaffiros). Still waiting on a rear mech (Ultegra) to get the Scott CR1Pro back together, then I can decide on what cables to use.

Any fans of Yokozuna Reaction cables?

Replaced cranks bottom bracket and front mech, reindexed and adjusted brake calipers

It's all ready for the summer! It's going to be a hot one this year (even if I have to build a conservatory to house a sun lamp and a turbo trainer).

Noticed a slight play in headset after yesterdays ride, so tightened that up this morning.

Need to try and re-index the gears on the new bike as it all sounds a bit rubby.

Any tips\tricks to indexing SRAM over Shimano or Camapg?

It's really easy. Just count the clicks as you turn the barrel adjuster so you can easily get back to where you started if required.

I only intended to tighten the crank-set as there was a bit of play...

ended up removing the entire group-set for a deep clean, rims are now dirt free. Hubs and pedals serviced. Disc calipers free of dirt. It looks like new.

I'll be on the Carerra until its hot now!

So on my way home tonight i noticed that my rear wheel was moving left to right, so i got in and tightened the cones. then i did it up too tight, so i decided it would be easier to just take it all apart and regrease the bearings...

so one regreased rear hub later, different cassette as wheel is now on a different bike and then a studded tyre fitted ready for tomorrows fun!

Cleaned and regreased my M970 spd due to a rather annoying clicking in one side.

It was like a surgical operation, 24 tiny bearings. Click now appears to have gone, but we'll see.

Filed down my fork crown on a bike I'm building up so the race would fit. It was sucessful but not without injury. I'm going to have to buy some touch-up paint to repaint the scratches. Bummer.

built two bikes by transferring all the parts from one to a new frame then fitting new chorus 11 speed to the donor bike.

Mtb was creaking when I pedaled, so whipped the cranks off, checked the bb was tight, cleaned and regreased and refitted cranks. Then redid the drive side as I'd managed to jam the chain between frame and inner chainring

Took bike for test ride down the snowy road.

It still creaks

I was bored so I adjusted the saddle height and re-torqued every bolt on the Cervelo

Erm then I fitted a handlebar brass bell, ding ding!
