Reverting to one's original login name?

Postby Frenchie. » Wed Jul 04, 2007 17:52 pm

Hi

The suffix CP has beenadded to my login name. How do I edit my login name to get rid of the CP? I look into registering but I am met with a blue, empty form...

i dont have that at the end of my name, i think it must mean there was more than one Frenchie so to differentiate between the users it has added initials of the original forum. Hence cycling plus (CP).

I might be wrong...

This is rather poor if it is the case...

It took me a long time to figure out how to log as a result and I end up with a different name...

Hummm... Well if I suddendly become a second class citizen I could become an absent customer. This is clearly lacking in the dept. of good customer relation.

Let's start our own forum. We could call it, er, Cycling Plus.

My Named Changed!

Postby Julspro » Thu Jul 05, 2007 03:24 am

It took me awhile to realize they added 'pro' to end of my user name! I don't like it either, but I couldn't figure out how to change it back.

Hi everyone - Juls from the Procycling forum.

I am looking forward to chatting with all of you this summer. Happy Tour!

Yup, I've been added to as well. At the very least, they could have added the suffixes in brackets. I think it's a bit rude to just add stuff to our names.

I feel I've lost my identity now as I don't have CP after my name. I just hope people remember where I come from.

Oh... Just seen this after posting another thread. Sorry.

I'm not 'cabcp'. I'm not going to be 'cabcp'.

I don't like this, I'm 'cab' or I'm not here. I don't use online pseudonyms, and I'm not making an exception. I wouldn't have chosen to register with any other name, and I wouldn't have any other name next to my postings.

I too do find it very rude to alter our names, after which we are known. As I wrote before it also feels as if we know have to wear a little star tag and it is not nice. And admin has provided no warning, explanation or solution to this problem.

We did provide a warning, and we're providing the best solution possible.

This is like being forced to move in with strangers!

I really don't like the 'look' of the layout on this forum - it's not as intuitive as the old C+ site for one thing, and boy is it going to give us all eye strain looking at a predominantly white page all the time!

Still, my beanzontoast hasn't had anything added - wouldn't have minded a bit of extra tomato sauce though...
