Rider Number - minor detail... but....

Postby Jon0 » Wed May 27, 2009 23:00 pm

I know its a minor detail, but the e-mail sent out to riders on Wednesday said Rider Numbers must only be worn on the front of your Jersey. Is this correct? I've always up till now raced with it attached to the handle bars.

Can't imagine its that comfortable having it on your mid section for 12 hours plus if you want to add or remove a layer in a pit stop you've got to change the number over I guess?

The numbers are designed to go on shirts, they are rider numbers made of Tyvek and a fair size (probably 20cm x 20cm).

They are not the small plastic numbers designed to go on bikes and therefore might be more irritating to the rider if placed on the front of the bike.

However, providing they are clearly visible then the handle bars wouldn’t be a problem.
