Managing Road Rash

Postby mclarent » Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:21 am

Any experience welcome! Had an off at the weekend, fortunately slid on wet road and just lost a bit of skin to elbow, hip and leg, not too deep. I've got 3 races left for the season (next 3 weekends) so loath to take any time off to let it heal. Guy who patched me up gave me the standard "keep it dry, get some of that skin repair stuff on it" etc, but with only 3 weeks to go I'm happy to manage it rather than take time off at this point. Does anyone have any advice for dealing with RR (training / racing) whilst avoiding infection? Cheers!
